Maverick has EPU's on all the new trucks they are buying (350 so far this year I think)...not really a big company, but they ain't exactly small either (somewhere around 1,000 trucks)
-
The company in my town, Watkins Sheperd has them but I herd the apu's are very unreliable.
There are new trucks out now that have the clean air exhaust that are legal to idle in most states. -
A lot of places have no idling zones tho..
-
Werner and Crete are big users of the APU.
-
Walmart and Martin Transport (The Bluebirds) have them on all their Trucks (mostly Thermo King TriPac).
The ones below have them on some of their Trucks:
KLLM (mostly TriPacs but a few Carriers)
Werner
Crete (very few have them)
Shaffer (same as Crete)
Not sure about these but I think I've seen them on:
PAM
Heartland Express
Gainey
Super Service -
Add Roehl, Armellini, LCT transport, Schaffer. Not sure if May trucking or Hunt, the flat bed div or crete does. Walmart, Sitton, and others do. Look up testimonials on APU's.

yea no idleing in residental areas because of the noise.as long as your in a rest area on a hiway or truckstop industrial area i dont think you can get a ticket.I could be wrong though but some apu's are louder then a idling main engine......

Con-way Truckload is equipping APU's on the new trucks they are buying, which are limited right now. The trucks they buy for team will not have APU's, nor will the retrofit the current trucks.
