    APU Question > Comfort-Pro APU - so this Comfort-Pro APU -

PROBLEM > APU starts automatically after the truck is Stopped ---- this happens hours after the truck has stopped and the motor is turned off.

after turning on .. by itself --- I turn APU OFF -- then in 5 min, it STARTS AGAIN -

can anyone tell me what is causing this?

    Thanks in Advance

    HERE IS THE FIX:

    > You got the APU programmed to keep the batteries topped off - when it hits below a set voltage.

If it turns on immediately the voltage is set pretty high or the batteries are weak.

Think it’s called the battery monitor.

You might have bad batteries and it’s calling for charge
    Also
There’s a way to set the voltage or amps?
down some to let it kick on later

Just curious where do you have your comfort pro serviced? We haven’t found anyone who works on comfort pros. Ours currently is not starting. It was leaking antifreeze so we turned the line off that runs to it but we need the system serviced. Nobody in our area works on comfort pro. I’m thinking we may have to take it to Ohio to get it worked on.

    Is it a carrier unit?
If so, then carrier Nashville is a good shop.
Carrier KERNERSVILLE N.C. is good, but slow.

To be totally honest I’m not sure. I do know it’s a comfort pro and that’s about the extent of it. Lol

Comfort Pro is a top-of-the-line system made by Carrier
heating & Air -- here is a youtube video on them.

GYPSY >> you actually had the issue pegged - - here was the fix

You got the APU programmed to keep the batteries topped off - when it hits below
    a set voltage.

** so on a 34-hour break, the batteries got LOW and the APU kicked in to top
    off the batteries at 1 am }
