14 years experience and $500 a week take home? Your to close to a major freight hub ATLANTA to take home that change. My nephew from Jacksonville just started trucking 3 months ago, and he is doing almost double that. To much missing infor here, the devil is the devil is ALWAYS in the details. And the answer is usually in the paper work.
Are there any “Honest” trucking companies out there???

I laugh, sometimes, at some drivers.... They're always taking cash advances, sometimes without getting fuel first, and then complain that their check was only blah, blah. Big dummy!, ya spent Friday's check on Monday and Wednesday.bentstrider83 and Chinatown Thank this. -

Does anyone know of any good companies out of the San Diego area? I have a clean record, no accidents, no tickets, and I have my hazmat, tanker, and doubles/triples endorsement.
Thanks. -

I would take a copy of that 14000 mile list and go into your company management and say this is BS. Do you understand that it almost takes two logs to run 14000 miles a month? That's 3500 pay miles (Assuming a additional 20% loss in extra miles empty etc) averaging 50 mph a whole 70 hour workweek which should include pretrips, post trips, loading, unloading, inspecting etc. When you include the necessary onduty hours your required average jumps to past 60 mph for a whole week.
Thats BS. And it is really a list of favorite drivers. You will find that this list has the same names over and over again while nobodies who never make that list are hired, fired, replaced constantly.
You should be able to spot a 14000 mile driver in your company's break room instantly. He is the one with baggy eyes, skipped hygene unwashed clothes and somewhat a sleepy functioning among everyone else who is bright eyed and bushy tailed.
