Are there any trucker type jobs using your own vehicle?

Some cargo van jobs run all over the country.
Just one example is Panther Premium and that's just one of many.

 

Or...get this.....owner operator.

 

He can do that with a cargo van. In fact, that's what Panther prefers.

 

MAYBE reposition rental cars. Your car has no payload. No payload means no customer.

 

There might be A PERSON somewhere in the country getting paid to drive a car 500 miles per day. That's a pretty small job market.

 

Yeah - actually knew a distant relative here that did that. Driving auction vehicles 300 miles or so to dealership.

 

My cousins husband is a retired postal worker. He drives around to medical offices and picks up blood, etc and takes them to the lab. DFW area, 9am to 7pm Monday thru Friday. He drives his own SUV. He is considered a contract(O/O) Driver.

 

Deliver RV’s if that’s the kind of thing you want.

 

What I see is a minivan, destined for auction or buy-here pay-here, towing 3 4-wheelers destined for auction etc. It does not look like it is paying anything for that job. I don't know.

Car auction are pretty widespread. Why/who is driving lots of miles for an auction?
