Load we delivered Tuesday night gave us 5,227 paid miles for this Fridays check with one day layover. This is a home time week so next check miles will suck.

Freight seems a lot more consistent. They hired a new VP a few weeks ago and things are looking up. From what I heard he is a former driver so hopefully he has driver retention in mind. After Ocala delivery we headed to Orlando and picked up a load to Pontiac, SC. After that dead headed to Dillon, SC for Gainesville, FL. Sitting in Gainesville now waiting to get unloaded then hopefully some local work to kill time until we go home.

It's been a while since I've updated. Thx to the new Ops VP, I got away from Dangelo as FM and was put on Alan's board. Great guy if you want to run miles. That guy stays in GP ops til 8pm most nights, getting his board taken care of. However, the same week that change happened, I picked up at International Paper in Amarillo and was offered a spot on the dedicated crew there. 2400-2800mi wk an home every weekend. Boring, but gives me the balance of consistent miles an predictable hometime.
Since I live in OK, I mostly run Ama to Paris, OKC and back to Ama. That and finally getting a raise to .395 is enough to keep me happy until next summer when my oldest heads to college....

Arnold says any talk of per diem being forced on drivers is simply untrue! And that per diem is an option. Opting Out incurs no extra admin fees........current info as of 2 Dec 2013.

Agreed. When I negotiated my raise with the HR VP, he stated that they were still working out the details of running the per-diem deal, so I was not forced onto it at that time. The new pay pkg form gives you options of old pkg with bump-the-dock pay or new scale with per-diem.

Arnold called me today saying I was approved to go to work for them. I would go to orientation in Austell, Ga and I assume that would be my home terminal. I live in Mobile, Al. Tell me good or Bad?

I have offers from Total transportation of MS and Raven Transport and feel those are the best anyway.

I read it. I just know sometimes other terminals are different. Was just curious.

Have you decided yet? My husband is with Total Trans MS and we have purty much decided TTMS is the BOTTOM of the barrel, and that going to Arnold can't get any worse than what he is dealing with now.
