6 months at TTMS, 5 trucks sent back to dealership or traded, very seldom does he go over 2000 miles. The best miles EVER in this time frame was 2600. (We were celebrating!) Never had a check for bring home at or over $1,000. So......you tell me?

These are the reasons we are going with.

    1. We live in Biloxi, MS. We see alot of Arnold Trucks traveling the 1-10. Rarely a TTMS. They "look" fairly maintained.

    2. Based out of Jacksonville sounds comforting. (To me!)

    3. Being part of USX (they own TTMS as well) my husband says he hardly ever sees an Arnold truck in breakdown at any of the terminals he has been to. He spends ALOT of time at the terminals.

    4. The Arnold drivers he has talked to seem happy.

    5. SCARED TO DEATH to go with Werner, Schneider or JB Hunt.

    6. Have to shave off goatee to go to Averitt....nahhhhhhhhhhhh.

    7. Considering Celadon... ? Would love to go to Crete, but only 6 mos OTR.

Maybe Total Transportation is not a good idea after all.

Ride it out until he has experience. Hopping companies makes that resume look like bad. Only change he will see is the name on the side of the truck.

    tow614 and Southrngrl228 Thank this.

I was just saying southrngrl that Knight in Gulfport is not that bad. I worked for them and got plenty of miles. They dont pay the best per mile but I still made decent money. Also you can get paid after every load.

    Southrngrl228 Thanks this.

Wise words. Many more options open up at a year exp. Wife & I are only waiting til next June to go OTR after son goes to college. I can wait 6mo. You guys can too.
Also, Arnold is running ads on CL specifically for owner/ops. I suspect this is due to their inability to retain drivers. I knew things were bad when they went to 2 orientations per week.

    Southrngrl228 and 123456 Thank this.
