Yeah, I was lucky to have had the KW with QC only for a year. My biggest worry is Arnold planners history of leaving you hanging til afternoon after you empty first thing in the morning, or wind up having to run a night shift after being up all day waiting for a load. I'd probably worry less if I'd ever used the drivertech.... I'm used to driving across town (Houston as example) after empty, but no preplan, to go to the J or Pilot to scan docs and wait around.

There was a lot of that sitting at first of year but it seems a lot more consistent now. Just got a 1300 miler back to Virginia. Doing my best to outrun this western snow kicking across here in Western KS

Does Arnold use primarily appointment times or pick-up/delivery windows? Are load schedules tight?

Wal-Mart DCs are 24 hour drops. Mostly appts. Typical Houston scenario:Empty 0700-0800, no preplan, wait, bug FM by QC. Get pre-plan on QC after lunch.
Send acceptance macro. Wait an hour or so for FM to dispatch the "pre-plan". Pickup in Conroe,TX at 1800 going to Baton Rouge for Reserve,LA del 1600 next day.
    320 mi for 2 days....
Disclaimer: I've been on injured reserve for 3 mo, so anj8488 knows more about current freight since the merger.

As usual they take your good streak and throw a dagger in it. 2 days of sitting for a load going 188 Miles. What an absolute joke.

Yeah, I hear ya. I still might come back, but the only real advantage to that is looking better to another company a year from now when we intend to relocate to the Pac NW. How has the "Bump-the-dock" deal been working for you? When it 1st started, I asked the boss why not a straight cpm raise. He said that the program would equate to .36mi. The current recruiting people say it should all add up to .39mi/$40K year. I say if they are so confident of those numbers, they should put us on $40K salary. The "Texas Tour" is really crap and hurts morale since they ARE on salary, so if they lose 3 days in the shop, no sweat. Same paycheck. That's my .02 opinion and worth every penny you paid...:biggrin_25515:
