Every pig squeals differently. I had one tell me I’m getting a ticket for an expired permit. I asked him if I’m getting oos, he said no I’m not, when I was paying a ticket next day, I noticed he gave me oos. He never mentioned it, and sent me on my way without the permit being active. This was in Iowa btw.Oxbow, Feedman and blairandgretchen Thank this.

Oh, it was quite an ordeal. Looooong story. No BS from my end.

I knew you weren't BSing us, I think the cop was BSing you.

I fully understand officer discretion, but I was referring to this cop's claim that he *had* to write some kind of ticket - especially considering that he wrote a warning instead of a ticket.
-
Sometimes its the direction of thier superior officers that says they must write a ticket.
You have to remember most cops just do as thier told and don't know they can make other choices.Feedman and Rideandrepair Thank this. -

Maybe the image was a fake? Seems likely with all the mistakes on it.

Surely your not suggesting an AI photoshopped image.

I apologize - I had posted the ticket with his personal details blacked out, then realized later you could still see through the blacked out parts, tried to do a better job of it on my phone, and because I suck with technology, couldn't figure it out - so I deleted the photo.
I think our resident AR member that is familiar with these answered the concerns.
The guy had his lease cancelled and needs to lease on elsewhere, so he was concerned about the warning preventing him from doing so.
