Have him try Admiral Merchants. A hell of a lot easier to get along with assuming he was with the same company you are with.

Make sure you get a look at AM's load board. They'll give you access if you ask.

As someone who spent 10 years at Landstar and 2 at Admiral before getting my own Authority 4-5 years ago....Admiral is the way to go..... Nevermind what the load board looks like.....I was there 2 years and I only pulled 2-3 loads from the load board. All my loads were from agents who knew I was gonna be in a certain area.

How does someone know who the agents and lanes are before leasing?

They give you a list(Now its online) of agents. I suppose they see you in the system. You have access to see what/how many loads an agent has moved out of certain states and which type of trailers they move them on. You also can access freight off DAT/Truckstop for a higher percentage. Various ways to find the freight without using the load board.

AM should share that with potential LOs. Might have made a difference for me (and possibly others). I knew about using DAT/ITS but I wasn't looking to haul spot freight. I looked into them twice but the board was a joke so I passed both times.

Yes I agree with you about the load board. Their load board really doesnt put into perspective the amount of freight they do per agent. The few agents I pulled for quite abit, I still pull for them under my own authority from time to time. I also do heavy haul, which may vary from someone looking to do step or flat. I can only vouch for RGN/DD freight.

    Oxbow and Iamoverit Thank this.

That could be part of it too because I never looked at anything other than flat and step.

    Oxbow and nikmirbre Thank this.

Whenever somebody states "asking for a friend", you just know the thread is going to devolve quickly......They ain't "asking for a friend", they are posting ****.

That ‘somebody’ would be me asking ‘ for a friend’ .

The thread actually resolved, and the adults moved on to a side topic.

You’ll have to clarify what ‘posting ****’ is, because your current lack of vocabulary isn’t passing the expletive filter.

You have a remarkable lack of anything positive, helpful or interesting to say, the majority of the time. I really liked the one where you offered parenting skills.

That thread went sour pretty fast after you opened your yap.
