My averitt experience. Moved from Md to Charlotte needed job contacted them web sight said they had regional,otr,and local P&D avail talk to recruiter he put me intouch with charlotte terminal manager reviewed my app and was offered local p&d or shuttle onto orientation cooksville, tn here i come. orientation was okay fed you pretty well hotel coul have been better but i have stayed at worst during dot physical they checked BMI on everybody made some people get sleep syudy at own expense and also c-pap if needed. Well first pay shortage was from drive to orientation they suggested i drive since i was going to straight to Charlotte to work local well guess what only paid for from cookville to charlotte then i get to charlotte and both P&D and shuttle position were filled so hey sir we can let you run regional and be threw the hse during week and home on weekends so I took that cause I needed job. well what they dont tell you is hat even if you want to run over the weekend the are going to send you home 1st week 1600 miles 2nd wk 1900 mls 3rd wk 1200 and hourly pay for doing local P&D. 4th wk picked loaded out of charlotte terminal # 0400 going to lumberton, nc 0900 appt time empty at 0730 sent in empty call waited,waited,waited called dispatch there working on it finally 1130 go to kinsington for live load of dish washers going to MO load time 1430 well got there waiting in line intuitons says walk up to gaurd house well load is drop n hook and has been sitting there and was supposed to be picked up at 0900( i sent empty in at 0730) took load to knoxville,tn got my 10 then off to nasville plan to fuel and drive some get my then deliver in morning on wednesday well qaulcom says go to nashville call dispatch dispatch says drop load and we will give you another ask y they say cause we cant get you back to charlotte by weekend(yeah right) i say well i will stay out jst get me to nearest averitte yard nope we cant do that well its midday and i have plenty hours to drive been sleep all night guess wht new load is at 0100 30 miles down the road going to oh with 0700 delivery time so when am i going to sleep take my 10 now iam wide awake its midday and hot and that load only little over 300 so i got robbed for miles got back to charlotte ran all week local dedicated account hourly and got paid for miles took two weeks to get pay straight and still got shorted. well needles to say i jumped ship and i didnt tell you my ordeal to get a truck and how filthy it was so good luck to ya. P.S. while in nasville meet driver that was calling it quits after 20 odd years with them he said company used to be great now going to sh** and he just so happened to be one of the guys in orientation they used as an example of longevity.
