When I quit van wyk I gave 2 weeks notice and it was business as usual.
On my last day they brought me to Sheldon ia , put me up in a motel for the night and next morning drove me to the soiux city Airport where I rented a car .
Bad company won’t let me quit. Advice?

I opt for you singing it..people enjoy the classics..
Or you could try a more personal touch and pen a note like these people..
Take a cue from this guy, and just let it goooooooooooooo...
Good luck, and if you do anything close what I've suggested....record it.

Loss of movement happens when I get out of the truck after sitting on my butt 4+ hours.
Chest pain/pressure and shortness of breathe describes me after standing in 90+ degree weather for just 15 mins.tommymonza, lovesthedrive and 201 Thank this. -

I just quit Prime flatbed division about a month ago running their walk away lease. Gave them two weeks and they didn't try anything fishy. I think a lot of it depends on your fleet manager, mine was a pretty good guy and pretty much the only reason I would ever consider going back. He called me a couple weeks afterward kinda fishing to see if I'd come back to work with him but did it in a polite way. Only reason I bring this up is because I don't think that any blanket comment like "walk in and throw the keys down, walk out" or "always give 2 weeks no matter what" work universally. Play it by ear, if the guy you work most closely with isn't a jerk give the notice. If youve had many problems with them, go the other way.

I never gave notice to the megas I worked for. When they fire you they don't give a driver notice. The one time I did give a 2 week notice was to a small mom and pop outfit so they could find someone to take over my route.
