Hey Everyone,
I am starting orientation with Barr Nunn Monday! Can anyone tell me what to expect?
I can take a little abuse, but if it get's to bad I will quit! I have been driving for almost 3 years and have a good D.A.C. !
They promised me home 3 out of every 4 weekends and I read some reports on here over and over again talking about driving all night and not having enough time getting the load delivered! I don't want to drive all night every night and If I do not have enough time to stop and use the bathroom , or eat... I don't want to drive their truck!
Can you all let me know?
Give me the Good , Bad.. And Ugly...
Not Just The Bad Please!

I worked for them twice. The first time Iw as doing OTR 2 weeks out and make killer money. Left for a while and came back on regional getting home everyweek and they had changed alot. They were in in the process of moving on to doing mostly short haul 1 day/overnight runs 300-400 miles and it was not working in the drivers favor in most cases. My income the second time around was cut in half. First time around I was averaging 2800-3100 miles a week. The second time out was a struggle to get dispatched on 15oo miles per week and i was a drievr that never turned anything down and just handles business on anything thrown at me so it wasnt for lack of trying.

I worked for Barr Nunn a few years ago. First, only 1500 miles a week. Second, they don't care about home time, they will let you go home when they feel like it. Third, this is the big one, I hired on here after being terminated from West Side Transport for having cancer. I told Barr Nunn about it and also told them I HAD to be home every other weekend for chemo. They made me miss a few treatments, but no big deal. The big deal was when I neared a year with them, they informed me I never told them I had cancer and now, they were going to fire me. That's right, right before my year and full medical coverage was to kick in just so they could save a buck. I wasted almost a year here making NO money just to get medical and got the shaft. TOTAL SLIME!!!!!

I work up the street from their Charlotte, NC terminal, its like watching the special Olympics over there, watching those guys trying to back or get in/out without hitting anything lol. They have a US Marines full wraped trailer parellel with the fence at the back of the terminal...the fence the back all the trailers up to and the fence is about 6 feet down a little hill....some jackarse backed his trailer INTO the marines trailer and nocked it down the hill so now its sitting there at a 45* angle lookin like it wants to roll over and the guy that backed into it just left his trailer there still pressed up against the trailer....i wonder how hard it was to figure out who did it lol. They finally pulled that trailer out after about 3 months lol. The marines one is still leaning down the hill though...
