here is the reason you got the answers you got.... because you are under load you went sleeper, which is the wrong assumption...

and after a whole weekend, your truck is still not fixed, and your original question about the 34 hour reset now depends upon how the elogs figure your reset start time, if you don't want to screw up your next weekend reset... as you can only take 1 reset after 168 hours have passed since your last restart.

Yes I realize that, I realize that someone can't ask a question without being talked down to unless one gives limited information to avoid ridicule seeing how only certain individuals are able to actually answer my original question. To those individuals, thank you. My original question was not asking whether or not I was correct. I would've eventually figured that out, with far less issues.

On the matter of my reset, I won't be taking it this week. Might as well run the rest of my week the way it is and take my reset this weekend.

This is the section for New Driver to ask Questions. You posed the question about one thing, many of the answers aren't necessarily absolutely directed at you, but a bent toward asnwering unasked questions or concerns of the thousands of new drivers and 'about to be' new drivers who read this forum every day.

In short all's we're trying to do is put out the proper information to help not only you but the thousands of truckers and almost truckers out there reading this.

WHEW! Sorry I'm late, but my Spidey-Sense just started tingling telling me a new driver was possibly....*que ominous music* FALSIFYING HIS LOGS!!!! *GASP*

Now, where do I pile on at??!?

    [/sarcasm]

Seriously folks, all good intentions (debatable for some) aside, I believe the OP has been shamed the appropriate minimum amount for his felonious logging behavior....How's 'bout some of y'all get some fresh air for crying out loud.....:biggrin_25514:

    ONE MORE TIME
every restart can start 168 hours since last one started
if you start a restart Thursday night at 7 pm 34 hours later you can drive
    you dont have to drive
if you dont drive until next Wednesday you can still start another reset on Thursday at 7 pm
    post 111 is wrong

and post 112 just confuses the issue for new drivers
    trying to figure it out
anything else is just wrong period

I really hope you're being funny because it would be foolish to accept a 34 after having 8 days off as you would have gained all your hours back.

really, while you were galloping in you should have backed down to a trott long enough to peruse the multiple responses by the o/p that were hostile and combative. People come to the forum and ask questions, obviously not knowing what in the (blank) they are talking about, then (cue the drama music) they get mad and lash out. It only became a public spanking when the hostility started to spew forth.

    So while your attempt to ride in on the white horse and save the day may be noble in your mind, you know what they say regarding "you and the horse you rode in on" {que the ominous music}

I read this last night and didn't catch it.

    HOW cheap is this company?

I mean if they are worried about a cheaper CAC and want to shop around, the person making that decision should get fired, the cost of that truck being down surpassed the expense of the cost of the repairs on the second day. Not to mention the lost wages for the driver.

My God who is running these companies? complete idiots?
