anything stainless should be outlawed by the DOT. specifically trailer doors and mud flaps. those are 2 of the most dangerous things out there IMHO.

Its my own observation, the only state I get inspected now is California where there are Truckee and Chowchilla scales picking randomly or based on the age of windsdhield sticker - all the rest scales I go thru are filled with dirty cheap trucks - copes seems to know that truck reflects the driver and his paperwork as well. It pays to clean stainless steel reefer, trust me, I know

Ive been an over the road refer for 2 1/2 years and of the 40 some brokers i have hauled for not one of them even know what year my truck is what it looks like and a very few of them even know what year or brand my refer is little lone what it looks like !

Brokers care about three things 1.p/u on time 2. deliver on time 3. clean bills.

Ok i might be slow to catch on But im not very fast to catch on either!!!!!:biggrin_25523:

My truck looks like junk and I only got pulled over once last year. They gave me one of those sweet 12 stickers on my window.

If a truck looks like junk who cares as long as it passes dot?

The sun reflects back to the occupants in the vehicle behind you blinding them, you'd have to be miles behind them to keep out of it on a sunny day.

Yes it is awesome, kinda like a Moses and the burning bush moment I am sure, but it is dangerous, I think even mores so than someones bright lights in your eyes at night since the sunlight is reflected at an even stronger ray.
