A 'loaded' question. I've owned stainless dry boxes and reefers. They sure are nice to look at, but high cost, high maintenance, and not everyone wants a stainless trailer when it's time to sell. In the produce business, you'll find that the extra 500 lb. may make the difference, whether you get work or don't. Buyers want you maxed right out, and 500 lb... could make it or break it for you. Oh, and you'll cry crocodile tears when someone backs into it, ..... very expensive to repair. Just a few F.Y.I.'s for you.

Well I know a painted van will corrode and whatnot when a stainless one won't. Easier to keep a stainless one clean than a painted one. But then again its easier to fix a painted van than a stainless one and the difference in cost is crazy too. Most produce haulers I know run over gross anyways so that extra 500lbs doesn't really mean anything to them lol. I'm gonna go with preference. I'd prefer a stainless wagon just because with a simple wash it always looks good when a painted trailer gets stains and whatnot. Just my .02!

OH. And as far as the person(s) ######## about the stainless doors and mudflap weights and what not, if yout THAT close and it's reflecting in your eyes maybe your the problem. I've never been bothered by those reflections. Never even at night when sitting behind one or running behind one, hell even with the sun reflecting off them. Back off to a safe following distance and it has zero effect on ya. Drty Diesel is right too, does look cool all cleaned up in the sun though :)
