Thats awesome. how long were you doing doing that with them? Hoe much did you make a week? Why did you leave. My two buddy's team right noe they make $700 take home.

My highest check there was $900 and some change gross and that was only 5.5 days on the pay period.
Part of the reason I left. Breakdowns, hotel rooms, not knowing what to do in those situations simply because I was too new to know any better so I jumped ship.

Melton or Maverick. Don't go to a company and do a lease purchase.

Just an update recovery is awesome I still would like to get the flatbed down the road but I make 1120 a week $52,000 a year so if I get in the flatbed and I make less I probably won't do that

I see a lot of folks prefer flatbeds only, why is that? What is it about flatbeds that garner such devotion? Money? Handles better than a Van? Fun?

driving down the highway when my tarp is tight and solid and the guy next to me has his flopping around like a cut parachute it fuels my smug sense of superiority

Not all of us can stand backing into docks, opening doors, and sitting for six hoirs to unload a pallet. That and I don't want to be a sphere

For me, it's that every load presents a new challenge. It affords me the time to get out of the truck and do actual work, get some exercise. That when I'm securing my load next to another flatbed driver i have pleasant conversation, sometimes we help each other out.
