So this club I see landstar is in it. What does it mean exactly? Does it make a company better than others that arnt on the list? Looks like I'll be working at central Oregon soon and it's in that club basically I'm just trying to figure out how the whole best fleets is chosen and what it means exactly.

Some companies call themselves THE ELITE FLEET.
Some say they are HOME TO THE WORLD'S BEST DRIVERS.

Yet, you look at the visual displayed and it leaves you wondering as to what they measure against.

I'd take it with a grain of salt.
The company I drive for used to have a stack of apps 6 inches high on the desk, and you didn't get a sniff if multiple drivers didn't vouch for you.

Now, they hire mouth breathers and knuckle draggers. Equipment is constantly being trashed, and our safety scores are suffering.
Yet I continue to operate at a premium level.
Those other fart blossoms get the same pay rate after their probate period is up.

    Anyone can self annoint.

Don't know if it's still the same. It was said to only be ATA member companies and only their drivers were allowed to vote. If true the list is worthless.

I worked for a company that BOASTED they were 2012 OR 2013(can't remember) Best Fleet award...yeah they(recruiting) talked about how much they cared about their drivers, yet....people in that office were UNREPLACABLE.....but drivers? Dime-a-dozen in reality.

If you want to know if a company is worth a darn get away from that recruiter and head down to the truck stop and wait for one of their trucks to roll into the fuel island... And very politely and respectfully ask how they like driving for them and how long they have been with the company. Do this several times at several truckstops and you will very quickly get the idea... And if they say to tell the recruiter they sent you into get a job they are just after a bonus... Who sends someone they don't even know into get a job?
