Getting ready to pull the trigger on 8 new trailer tires I haul water I'm thinking of getting the cheap tires because they seem to puncture a lot should I go for the more expensive ones and or what are your thoughts and opinions on buying tires specifically for the oil field and all the rocks and such

Which ‘oilfield’ are you referring? Permian Basin, Bakken? South Texas? Appalachia?

Go cheap. Never know how quick you’ll puncture a tire in the patch. Standard Tire in San Antonio has some good trailer tires for about $260.

For a water trailer, where 1/2 the day it’s either lumbering 5-10 mph on a 7 mile lease road, then back out, on pavement for 20 miles rinse and repeat all day, then back home with an empty wagon? I’d choose the cheap, go with as straight of tread groove pattern as you can get.

your go through tires fairly often went through 3 tires today alone surprised not all my left side running a couple plants with a lot of thorns and thats where I had to go just for this job no way around it short of driving through equipment and another one week before...

I think I'd go cheap. Don't miss those lease roads.
