Yes, the original Jimmies is gone, some kind of a auto plaza thingy now. They were famous for their burgers . It's a McDonald's now, go figure.

The one I was posting about is the one across from the Loves, and they do have good burgers..

Unfortunately we don't run much Florida just can't get anything decent out of there that pays..

 

If those parking lots could talk more than one driver would be getting hauled into divorce court....

I am up for picking up a old Union 76 location that is closed but not too far gone. The one with the circular staircase going upstairs to the sleeping and telephone rooms. And putting right back to it's original glory, maybe even a Pure Oil location that got bought out by 76. Retro is in. Anybody want to back me on this?

 

Oh man did you just jar the memory banks. I loved those spiral staircases in the old Union 76 stops.

wow great to see there are some good truck stops left the only ones i encountered that were any good was Petro in Reno NV and Flying J Redding CA only cause it was brand new and hadn't had a chance to be run down yet.
