i don't mean to be rude or insultive, but is there a particular reason why you want to get started in foodservice as a driver?

Hard to believe but some like the work and really like the money r.r. That's why I do it I like the hours and the work keeps weight off me.

If your young and a hard worker and aren't a hot head you will do well in foodservice now it's not a job to work till your 65 (We have a few guys at my barn that are 30 40 year seniority guys but they are too seniority guys) but if you can make it and save up in retirement you will have a good nest egg and have made a bunch of money

To get into food it's not a big deal just apply at GFS and see what they say. They like hiring people. It's what I did LoL!
Actually I applied got in on the second try.

GFS is hiring in my area, which is rare they don’t have a warehouse here. They use an auxiliary lot; roughly what do they pay?

I currently make 47k roughly, free medical insurance and work about 85 hours every two weeks.

Just curious if it’s a better opportunity to leave my millercoors job for GFS

U.S. Foods in Pittson PA always have an ad on Indeed looking for drivers and driver trainees. I'd say just put an application in with a local company and see what happens. McLane as well is always looking for driver trainees in my area.
