After selling a few older trailers and trucks when the price was way up i realized i don't have the patience to deal with all the idiots. My salesman at the dealer just laughed at me.

Update: I decided to push back on the buyer and they said they’d come get it for $2500 off the price. I said done, send wire.

I appreciate all of the feedback and ideas. Also someone even offering to drive it for me. Pretty darn cool.

If I’d delivered it I’d of course get the money up front and sold as is. I do agree this way is much more cut and dry. With truck prices going down I didnt want to lose the deal but desperate decision are seldom the correct ones.

    Have a good day everyone!

It should really be on the buyer to arrange delivery.

I forget the details, but when @zmster2033 bought the truck off me, he paid a driveway company to come and hitch up their pickup truck and drive 900 odd miles for $1 - $1.50/ mile if I recall.

If it were a recovery deal, and helping out a friend, there's ways to get it done. When it comes to business - if 'they' buy it - 'they' can figure out how to get it.

Tie the tow behind real good.
Saw one come loose in Indiana yesterday and it’s not being driven ever again.

No, sir. As previously mentioned, I flat tow. It's a 4x4 pickup with the transfer case in neutral. That wheel needs to pivot.

I sold my truck and trailer to a guy in California last October. I hauled my car and 7 others out there. Added 10k plus in revenue. His truck he had been driving blew a turbo on his way back from looking at mine in NY. Had a 5k deposit but ended up waiting a week for him to get back to LA to complete the transaction. He got his new to him truck and trailer, my finance company got their cut, I got my cut and a nasty case of covid followed by 5 miserable days driving home. Good choice to let your buyer come get it.
