Saw this guy with his measuring stick checking the bridge height. Not sure what he was gonna do if the bridge was too short though..... Back up 14 miles?

That would beat destroying a million dollar load and having to buy the overpass as well.

More likely he could dump the air for the truck and trailer or there maybe part of the overpass that is taller and squeeze under.

But the most important thing is to not drive into the overpass kick a #######

    What kind of deck
Height and well did you have on your 9 axle!

I would have been fine upto 15 6 overall. Taller would have been a real pain.

Someone has 775 Rock trucks from Los Angeles to
Baltimore but 17 7 wide and no where near the money required.

Cat 631G on 37' because I had to keep the backend down due to that silly loop thingy on the back of it, notes say 14'10"H. Regardless the banana was still the high point, as @truckdad said undo the linkage to drop it further, fairly standard. No it's not lower because it's on my rail, in fact it may be higher because of that. My rail is 19" and my deck is 16" and the the bowl sits on the frame in the main length so it may be lower on a deck? But I like my rail...
Backwards is the only way I've seen them hauled, unless using a scraper dolly.

I give anybody that's not 100% sure so they stop and measure a bridge before they try going under it a megaton of respect!
That's pride and quality right there!
I'd back up 14 miles a day if I was certain to avoid making a multi-million dollar mistake...I got no desire to be the 5 o'clock lead story

Thankfully truckdad showed up as I misunderstood your question and should have stayed out of it as usual. I only haul 27's these days and with it on my trailer the apron closes all the way without pulling the pin. I'll have to look closer next time to see if pulling the pin would gain anything, I'm only 13' 4" so I don't need to buy now I'm curious. The only way I've hauled 37's is split on a beam, which is challenging enough but height wasn't an issue. This is a pic of a 27 on my trailer there may be room to drop a little.
