Never the same start times. Never have 2 days off in a row. There is nothing good to say about my time at black horse. The management does not care about driver safety or any other thing. Don't work here..they tell you that you will be making 1000 a week..maybe for 80 hours.Anytime I had an issue with payroll, I never got compensated for what I was owed. 14-17 hr work days, forced to drive violating DOT HOS, 80+ hr work weeks,There is a reason their always hiring,no concern for safety of driver or public.DO NOT WORK FOR THIS PEOPLE!They want perfect drivers for nothing, soon they will hire drivers getting out of driving schools.NO JOB SECURITY! NO JOB SECURITY THEY WILL FIRED YOU FOR ANY LITTLE REASON!

I currently work for Black Horse and I am making a little more than a $1000 a week. Start times sometimes differ but not by much. I don't know what account you are/were on but I am in the auto parts division. I work Monday through Friday.
Dominick253 and electraglidebiker Thank this. -

Something is telling me we are only get one side of the story. Not trying to discredit you, but it seems like there is more that you are not telling us. Running illegal, low pay...

It's important to add where you are working. Companies like this have hubs all over the country. All of them can be run completely differently. One can pay like crap, run you into the ground, and short you on pay, while another can treat their drivers well, pay them fairly, run them legal, and respect and communicate with drivers well. You may not like the depot you worked for, but no reason to veer people away from other depots which could be perfectly fine to work at.

According to the feds, we were all working 80+hrs a week taking advantage of the restart provision lol .

I work for Black Horse carriers auto parts division in Texas. I don't know where that guy was at, but I work 35-40 hours a week, I'm off weekends. The only thing he said that I can identify with is that my start times are not set in stone. I meet a truck that comes out of DFW and if he has a mechanical issue, runs into traffic or anything like that it throws our time off. So far I am happy with the job.
electraglidebiker Thanks this. -
Do they pay hourly or by percentage? I noticed when they advertise they never post an hourly rate just a weekly range like $800-$100.
-
I think the pay depends on what account you work on, but that's speculation on my part. I really don't know how they figure it out.
