I see boat check stations in rest areas/weigh stations and then TMC with a boat load pulls in. Are you supposed to have new boats checked as well? They've never been submerged so I don't see how there would be any "invasive species" on brand new boats.
Do they charge you for inspection?

Pretty sure it's not for new boats.

How would they know if they are new or not unless you stop? I mean, it might seem obvious, but they could be restored, barely used, freshly painted, etc. Used boats get shipped as well

I guess it's better to stop just in case.

Good question. Don't they issue some sort of permit or sticker after inspection? Would that not be an asset to the seller/buyer if they were destined for that state? I suspect they are lawfully required to have this inspection sticker to be on public waters (just like having a fishing license is required to fish)

Maybe if they're destined for that same state, they hand the driver x number of stickers to hand to the dealer upon delivery.

Speaking of boat transports. I notice Werner has recently gotten into the game with boat transport. What? Did they hire away a bunch of drivers from other respected boat transport outfits like TMC, so they could trash the rates in that market, too?

All water craft must stop because the sign says "all"
Just like the agricultural check coming in to Florida all trucks are required.
Even as a car hauler I am required to go thru the ag check.
