Boost leak when cold outside and climbing hills.

I mean taking my foot off the pedal ......

 

sure hadn't....

I checked my rubber boots, they weren't loose. Im off next week, I plan on looking more into it then.

 

I think I found the culprit today. My Exhaust manifold...I see soot around it.....

 

I don't see a crack...but I imagine there's spaces between the block and the manifold, which is why im seeing soot....

 

Its a minor amount and I don't know how long its been leaking....does even a minimal amount make a difference? I know it can cause a loss of power and fuel mileage....
