Can someone please tell me what an average weekly pay to haul dry bulk cement would be. Is $1,500 per week a good pay rate if you're hauling Monday through Friday home on the weekends and typically loading and unloading between 6 to 8 loads per week. I am not an owner operator I will be working as a company driver.

Sounds good to me.
Woodys and 4mer trucker Thank this. -
Anyway, blowing cement is easy and 1500 sounds like reasonsble compensation to start. -
Generally the runs are between 200 to 300 miles each way. An average day is coming up to 12 hours per day and the total miles being ran is between 452 640 miles per day. I hear other drivers are working on a percentage basis so what I'm really trying to find out if am I undercutting what I'm asking for or am I riding the bull Park asking for that amount of money on a weekly basis especially seeing as I don't know what a bulk cement hauler generally makes working percentage as a company driver any help from one of those operators would be greatly appreciated

I work as company driver hauling bulk cement. I generally work 60-70 weeks getting paid by the load not the hour.
My worst weeks (due to holidays and weather) I grossed around $850. My best weeks I've topped $1300 and $1400. I've averaged $1250 per week.
If you can get paid $1500 a week doing what you've described that's really good for the cement bulk hauling business.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
You are going to have a hard time making $1500 a week in 5 days hauling cement.....
Lepton1 Thanks this. -
sounds like cake. as long as it is not wet cement, than you have a anxiety ridden day
-
Not quite that much...more like $900/week with 60-70 hrs put in.
-
Yup. I do 4-5 loads a day and about 200 miles. 60-65 hours a week, at least 1500 a week after taxes.
