"stupid is as stupid does sir"...the best thing you can do for your friend is let him fail and when he does you will be a better friend to him and he will appreciate you more. Maybe..probably..hopefully..

A business consultant can’t help someone who doesn’t want to listen. Quit stressing about him and focus that extra brain power and energy on your own business.

As far as hiring a consultant. That would be really tough because trucking is a very unique beast and your typical consultant just wouldn’t understand.

I am a fleet owner as well and would be happy to consult you. But it would be very expensive because I’m busy making money for myself. lol. All seriousness though there are plenty of smart people on here so post up some questions if you have them.

@not4hire gets my vote on this one.

I’ve had to let a friendship slide this year for similar reasons.

It’s my fault, I’d become too mentally invested in the friends situation and his long rambling phone calls whilst mundanely driving from one weird decision to the next became taxing.

I almost didn’t need to be present on the other end of the phone - and he never asked how or what I was doing.

The last call came on a day I had a bunch of personal and business issues going on, and I just needed to be asked - “How is your day going? - how’s the family?”
