Ive been running ups loads for a o/o from cinci to jersey 3 times a week . I have owned my own truck but now im driving for a small outfit. im thinking about buying another truck and leasing on to mercer. What should i do first. Buy the truck then go to mercer? Go to mercer then buy the truck? I just need some good solid advice.
Buy a truck and go to Mercer? Or Mercer first, then buy the truck?

Mercer does not own any trucks, however you could call and ask if any o/o's may be needing help.
I'd say imho get the truck and hurry on.. you're wasting time.
Give them a call, these guys at Mercer are great.
Good luck -
ok thanks alot lucar . im also going to finance a 2010 kenworth at 49.500.00. would they have an issue if the truck is financed?

Ask your current employer if they let you do the same run with your own truck and how much they will pay than weigh your options.a $1.80 per mile and up pulling company trailer on a dedicated run will be a better choice.

would they have an issue if the truck is financed? If they did likely would not have as many guys working there as they do

Groundhog, any truck financed by you can be leased to any outfit of your choice. Imho I hope you get a cummins with that, hopefully that CM871. Take it to rawze and you'll be in business!

the ups runs are 2 bucks a mile now and the ups runs basically end after christmas -
you should be able to get approved with mercer before you buy the truck.
