Cab aux battery for inverter and FMCSA

I guess you've never had a battery blow up. Get that battery out of the cab.

 

Lets see? What gas gets vented off from a electrical charge? Is it very explosive? Battery acid, will it burn?

 

Nothing illegal about having batteries in the cab if they are properly installed. Just sitting on the floor is a bad idea.

illegal and dangerous are two different things, If done properly it will be no problem, but throw it in disregarding the little hydrogen bomb sitting there is a problem.

 

If you installed your own inverter, why didn't you wire it to the trucks batteries?
if your determined to use your own battery, get a marine box and mount it to the catwalk...

 

This is why most companies don't allow drivers to wire things up in the trucks.
