Looks like the best way to get me to PA is to borrow your truck and take a load. See you in the am.

My drug test came back dilute (I was stuck at the dentist that day waiting for a filling so nothing but water from 9am to 3:45pm.) I did another test yesterday after work. I am not sure how long it takes to get results but it should be fine as I stuck to V8 and propel plus ate lunch.

Yeah. My other half gets off at 5pm and will drive me down to SAC to pick the rental car. I should get down there around 3am, nap in the back seat, meet with you and snag the load, find a place to park the truck, cab back to the car, get my truck stuff from storage in Santa Fe Springs into the truck, return the car, cab to the truck, sleep the rest of my 10, and then off to PA.

I am naturally nocturnal, run my 11 stopping only for fuel, plus dispatch gave me almost a extra day to get there. I plotted 2441 miles averaging 60 mph = just under 41 hrs = just under 3.75 shifts. Sat pm into Sun am is one; Sun pm into Mon am is two; Mon pm into Tues am is three; Tues pm into Wed am is the .75; and camp/nest/rest as close as possible to the customer till Thursday 6-16 # 0600 del.

Ya'll are both more familiar with the run...Am I wrong?

Does your truck have an APU?

Mort gave me your number and I left you a message with mine.

Well I'm sitting here in Lamar Pa at the T/A killing a little time. My reload home will be ready at 3 so here I sit.

I loaded in Jacksonville on Wednesday around noon. My load went to The Rock Ga for 8am Thursday then I had a preplan for a pick up in Piedmont SC for a drop and hook at our customer going to Mountain Top Pa for 3pm Friday. I got to Jackson Ga around 7pm Wednesday evening and camped out with only 24 miles to go to delivery the next morning. I woke up Thursday, showered and got to the consignee at 7:15. I was empty at 8am, it doesn't take very long to unload 8 rolls of paper that weigh 5100lbs apiece. I headed back to the T/A for some breakfast, called Jason in dispatch and left him a message to see if my reload would be done any earlier. He called me right back to see if I would help him out with a truck that was broke down in Atlanta. I told him absolutely.

The broke down truck was at Volvo, the trailer was at the towing company's yard and the driver was at a motel. So now I'm leaving the T/A and Jason calls me back to tell me the tow company is charging us money per day to store our trailer there so could I take my empty to our customer in Griffin, Ga and bobtail to the tow yard to p/u the loaded one thats there, this is after I had to go to the hotel to meet the driver to get the keys to her lock on the trailer and the bills for the load. I drove around about 100 miles to get all this taken care of. To my surprise, the load she had on was a load of watermelons going to our customer in Milton Pa that had rejected the load of melons I brought there 3 weeks earlier. Great, now I'm thinking the worst and that I might me spending the weekend with a rejected load of melons.

I was all done running around Atlanta and left at 2pm Thursday with a delivery time of 1pm on Friday in Milton. I made it to the Loves on 81 in Va at the 84mm and went to bed. I got up and was on the road at 6am Friday with an eta of noon for my delivery. I got to the consignee at 12:15, got backed in immediately and was empty at 1:30. Before I could fully realize what had just happened I was out the gate and at the truck stop having lunch. This load of melons was a lot different than the last one that's for sure.

Louie called me and said the coast was slow and that he had 2 loads to Orlando. They both loaded today, one delivered Tuesday at 5am and the other delivered Wednesday at 5am, so I took the Wednesday load.

I met Chris (rookie) that drives for us here early this morning. What a super guy. We've spoke only on the phone up until now, so being able to meet him finally in person was nice. Thanks for breakfast pal! Next time it's on me. That's it for now, I want to be home tomorrow evening to watch the Heat/Mavs game so I'll have a long day and a half to get there. Be safe all, God Bless.

Hitman and THE ROOKIE Thank this.
