I’m sure if you work for some d-bag outfit that sits there and watches the cameras all day looking for reasons to write people up, or some ultra-conservative outfit, there may be an issue. Otherwise, a pretty silly reason to worry imo. It’s trucking, not Bible study.

Yes, they can fire you.

They can also fire you if they hear you say, “Poop shizzle!” Or even if you say, “I hate bacon.”

Probably more so if you hate bacon.

 

For swearing? No. The underlying issue? Absolutely.

 

Highly doubtful. But if you cause a reaction because you started cussing and the other driver stops and confronts you, you might have to explain the situation to someone higher than you. I doubt you will be fired for cussing at someone unless you were caught on camera saying racist derogatory terms to another employee or something along those lines. I cuss at my camera every day. And i cuss at people and trucks that cut me off. I even roll down my window and say things when people do stupid things. Im not going to do anything that risks my employment. But im surely not a welcome mat.
