So ..... whats more important ??? Hauling a load for a paycheck , or family issue ?
Welcome to trucking . Thousands of us have missed family related things due to this issue. If it was me , and i have done this , i would be gone in a second .
You have to decide what is more important to you and then act accordingly.
Can I take legal action for barring me proper hometime?

Where are your parents located; state & city/town?
Might be some good jobs right now for drivers with 12 mos. experience.
Do you prefer local or OTR?Sirscrapntruckalot, broke down plumber, firemedic2816 and 3 others Thank this. -

This is a no-brainer. Take the dedicated gig offered by your current employer and don't look back.

To get help from the Forum with future carrier suggestions, we need some basic info from you:
- What type(s) of freight interest you
- How often/long you need/want to be home
- Your approx location (a zip code will work just great)
- What CDL endorsements (if any) you have
- can you work/use a manual transmission (specify which types: 13-speed, 18-speed, 10-speed)

In 2013 I quit otr driving for cr england with barely 6 months experience because I easily had a job lined up that not only paid three times as much but fit exactly what I wanted in a company job.

I recently had my company try to change everything on me and deny me agreed-to hometime. Thank goodness the recruiter that I used still works for us, no longer in recruiting, but is tight with the owner of the company and she basically kept everything we had agreed to in writing, even though it's not "signed contracts" it's still back-and-forth emails and such. She got it all together and sent it to the highest ups in the company and they gave me everything back.
But as far as suing, unless you have a contract, you're SOL on lawsuits. Just leave. A year is plenty to find something else.broke down plumber, Concorde, silverspur and 1 other person Thank this.
