Can owner ops deduct hotel expenses on the road?

    i know like when I was leasing and truck broke down that I would always deduct hotel expenses I’m curious tho say you get a hotel room every weekend for a reset can you deduct the hotel cost even if your truck anit broken??

    Is there a maximum amount in a year I can deduct of dosent if matter? Say 8500?

    No. If you spend $1,000,000 on hotel expenses it’s deductible

    No limits. You can go to the most expensive, luxurious presidential suites and write all of them off. Even, if it is $100 000. Just keep the receipts, otherwise they may not believe you.

    Whenever the wife needs to get out of the truck and I get a room for us, it always goes down in the tax sheets. For us it's only 6 - 8X a year, though.

    I disagree. I am the president of my 1 man/1 truck/1 trailer Corporation. I am not some negligible corporate clerk. I need the presidential suite.
