I’m just running hypothetical numbers. Crunching numbers have my CPM wanna see see the profit margin just don’t have taxes accounted for.
thinking of adding 40% on top of $1.58 a mile for Joe Byron
power only, please.
Brownsville/Laredo Texas to anywhere
Naples/fort myers Florida to anywhere

Profit margins look razor thin from me running numbers. Like holy hell some guys must lose money moving Amazon freight from what it seems
feldsforever and Wespipes Thank this. -
DAT load board lets you sign up for a free demo account. You see most information about the load, including rate if one is posted. You just don't get the broker information.
feldsforever Thanks this. -
Some of these trucks are the ones who are directly responsible for driving rates down because they will haul cheap freight just to get a load instead of charging a normal, fair rate.BennysPennys, mitmaks, Brettj3876 and 4 others Thank this. -
I did not know this; I tried to sign up for one load board and they won’t let you see anything until your authority was validated.
holly hell, what a joke.
$600 to move an empty trailer 1200ish miles.
laredo to Grand Rapids $1,000? Yeah, okay…Last edited: Dec 25, 2021
BennysPennys, nredfor88 and feldsforever Thank this. -
Why power only?
BennysPennys and feldsforever Thank this. -
Trailers are expensive right now. I could technically buy a used cascadia right now. So I was just crushing numbers with the least amount of possible expenses/liabilities, but with also including real ones like taxes, PM/repairs, CPA, etc…
trailer would just add more to the CPM but I could include one I guess since I’m just “pretending”. Maybe it’s because of the holidays, but DAT looks dry for my areas of where I resonatefeldsforever Thanks this. -

I think Landstar has online webinar and they show people interested in seeing their load board.
BennysPennys, jsnell and feldsforever Thank this. -
I’ve run a load for $1500 Laredo to Dallas and then given a week to bring the trailer back.BennysPennys and feldsforever Thank this.
