Did you start out as a company driver for a while or did you just quit your job and jump in with both feet?
If it's the latter, you made a very, very big mistake. Perhaps you'd be better off leasing on to a reputable carrier for a while. (Mercer or Landstar)
I'm sorry for your troubles. Keep you chin up. You'll figure it out.

It's an example driver of a story I read. A lot of these are just examples of what has happened to other drivers. The poem is meant to speak for owner/operators in general.

I've been a company driver for ten years. Never got one inspection despite crappy equipment. I wanted to do it to make my own schedule and feel like I've accomplished something at the end of every day. Being a company driver got monotonous and it's too easy for me. I was bored with it. I enjoy a challenge. Poems are just my way of getting frustrations out.

Google "iambic pentameter". It will help you quite a bit.

My poetry doesnt have structure, if that's what you are suggesting. It's very unorthodox. I'm not trying to fit a specific prototype.

no you can’t catch everything on a pretrip but you stated the bulbs were removed which means you didn’t know about their existence I’m pointing out that those lights have been mandated for as long as you have been driving.

Exactly. We all make mistakes. Nobody's perfect. I was honest with the officer, but he cut me no slack. It is what it is. I cant catch everything. Some people can and have abilities almost superhuman. I'm used to working for a gigantic corporation that was untouchable. I could pull triples through the scales overweight with 2 flat tires and get a free pass. I'm still adjusting and learning. It's a culture shock.
