I used the Cat Scale App for the first time yesterday.

I was pleasantly surprised how easy and seamless it worked.

Didn't even have to park to pay and retrieve the scale ticket, which as you know can be a real be atch sometimes.

My email notification went off right on the scale with a pdf of the scale ticket. Verified I was good to go and drove away.

Would that app be able to do split axel weighs (flatbed split tandem)? Sometimes the scale attendant doesn’t know what you are talking about. Now that would make life easier.

I've used that app for years, but haven't found a way to split (of course I just recently started driving spreads, so my previous companies didn't have the need.)

I don't think the app has a function for that yet but at least it will be good for getting a gross and the tractor weights, a bit of math will tell you what is left must be on the trailer but it won't tell you how much on each spread axle I suppose...

I used the 'contact us' on the website to ask, but unless there is a setting somewhere, all it's ever given me is the 3 regular axle weights and the gross.

Love that app. If you have to adjust and reweigh, it can turn a 40 minute nightmare into a 15 minute in-and-out.

We need to find out pronto.

Call for a split and see what happens.

    It should....

Ive catted spreads all the time back in the day. Although the ticket lady has to shuffle the deck and make it happen on her end but usually no trouble.

How is that normally done? Split front and rear axles on different pads on the scale? If that's the case weigh as normal 5 axle, then pull forward and split axles on pads. Use the app for a reweigh to get seperate axle weights.
Honestly never weighed my splits separately when I pulled one. So I may be totally off here.

    BB203 and x1Heavy Thank this.
