I strongly advise job seekers—especially professional drivers—to think twice before accepting a position at Howard Sheppard. Based on my personal experience, this company does not prioritize the well-being of its drivers. The compensation is significantly below industry standards, and the management team—including Trey Sheppard, Jonathan Dawson, and HR representative Karrie Brown—has shown little regard for the concerns or needs of employees.
The equipment is unreliable, with frequent breakdowns that are rarely addressed promptly. Drivers are expected to meet unrealistic load counts that would require unsafe driving habits to achieve. Yet, the company monitors every move via in-cab cameras and then penalizes drivers during review meetings for the very behavior their system demands.

Overall, I found the work environment to be toxic and unsupportive. I encourage other drivers to explore better opportunities elsewhere.

If the compensation was not adequate why did you take the job?
