Just wondering if any of you guys know of any companies that will take new grads from CDL school in
florida around the orlando, melbourne areas. I graduated from TDI in Sanford, no accidents ever, 1 ticket in the last 5 years. I'm working on getting my tanker and hazmat. I also don't really want to go OTR because of the wife and our son at home. Thanks for any help.

What company is it? I've got apps in all over the place and really no luck yet, I went on an interview today with Budweiser but the pay sucks til I get my own route.

Idk about your region, but there are plenty of guys at my terminal who never drove a day otr and were hired right out of trucking school.

Look up LTL carriers in your area. You may luck out and go straight to driving. Worst comes to worst, apply as a dockworker. You will eventually pick up shifts as you go along. I graduated CDL school a year and a half ago... never did see the inside of a sleeper.

Comcar isn't hiring,Florida Rock you need atleast 2 years, I just applied to Conway today and I haven't heard any good things about Cypress yet. Do any of you know anything about Central Transport? I have only read some reviews on the company and most people didn't like it but I guess if you were to listen to everyone else there would be no good companies out there....

florida is just a hard spot all the way around
a lot of otr companies don't hire out of there either
if you do decide you need to go OTR Transam hires out of florida
and runs into there a lot
so no problem getting home time
