    is he able to get financial help like maybe a short term loan, for the cost of the 160 hour class?

    are there any community colleges nearby that can do it cheaper than a CDL school?

    if not, then he may have to go thru some sort of company sponsored training.

    He just told me he got approved to go to Panther as an OO. Then he was telling Prime talked to him but they wanted him to get a tanker endorsement. I thought that was only necessary if you wanted to be in there tanker division, but it don't hurt to have it. He could do it if he wanted to according to him.....he just feels like he's ready to get out on the road and make money. He wanted to do the box truck ordeal, but I can tell you he is not ready to be an OO. He's asking me about HOS rules. I hope Prime takes him. I'm pushing for him to get that time on the road and I know Prime won't rush him.
