Yeah I got my permit about a week ago, and I probably don't remember half that stuff. I studied hard to pass.

I passed my permit last week and have the driving part down. Instructor says he is confident I'll pass the driving and backing portion but I am nervous as heck for the pre trip and air brake test.
I have been transcribing outside pre trip videos for a couple of weeks and i still can't remember it all and have done the air brake test and cab pre trip a ton of times but I mess up the order constantly or not saying the things correctly which is driving my instructor nuts.
Also they are teaching it differently than what I see the youtube videos showing. They only do the air brake leak test with the brake pedal depressed and not more than 4 psi leak in a minute. The videos show there is also a leak test without the pedal depressed and looking for no more than 3 psi in a minute. They say this how they have been doing it in nyc for years. I'll be pissed if I fail because of this.
Wondering if anyone here has passed a class A road test in nyc (specifically the aqueduct location in queens) lately that could chime in and break down the procedure for me.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -

I'm going to take my CDL test next week. But my question is, are the questions on these apps and websites. Are they about the same questions the exact test?

I mean, you should definitely use the practice test questions but if you’re in New York, the DMV knows you’re trying to take the easy way out so they reword the questions so only those who read the manual will know what it asks. The questions are deliberately meant to confuse those who otherwise didn’t read the manual because they’re hoping you wouldn’t pass.
