It would seem Celadon would be ripe for an asset-only purchase by a company that wants their customer contracts. When a company I worked for was bought, the first anyone knew about it was a story in the newspaper on a Tuesday that the next Monday we would be owned by another company.

 

Karma at the corporate level. They put many drivers into bankruptcy with their "Eagle" L/P division, now Karma puts them into bankruptcy.

I was wondering why we haven't heard any recent Celadon acquisition reports lately. For a while they were scooping up wayward companies like Angelina Jolie on a worldwide orphan hunt.

Have no fear. They can con another 500 drivers into taking 500 trucks off of their books and those trucks and associated problems and liabilities will be shifted to the new "contractors".
