Left celadon due to getting a new job and they kept my whole last paycheck to put towards my tutuiton owed. I wasn't aware this would happen, I was under the impression I could set up a payment plan. Worst part is that the runs I had taken from me were a few I had forgotten to submit the week before so now I'm totally screwed. I am assuming there is no way to get any of my check back so I'm pretty pissed.

What does your contract state? It should clearly define what happens when you leave if there is a balance due on your tuition.

I'm assuming you got your CDL through celacon? If so then it's stated in your contract that you'll drive for them for 9 to 12 months to be relieved of that debt. And if I recall, they will take your last check and put it towards your balance, anything left owed, they will bill you.

So you leave the company owing them money, You "assume" a payment plan, yet you did not discuss this with them, so the company has all right to hold any monies due you to fulfill the debt you owe them. I highly suspect they are turning the rest of the debt over to a collection agency. They are not in the business of running payment plans to ex-employee's.

So why are we reporting them as a "Bad" company, when in fact you owe them money, yet you failed to come to an agreement in writing to fulfill your debt with them.

The Title should be - I left Celadon owing them money and they took legally what is owed them.
