Go in with a positive attitude, spend time after class with the trucks practicing for the pre trip test, and maybe make a friend or two. My class was big but I still talk to the four guys I became buddies with.
Remember to stay positive. There will be days where you feel like it's the most unorganized thing you could possibly be doing. Like I've said before, without my positive attitude I would have probably washed out on my trainers truck.
Finally, try to have a bit of fun. Saw several guys who seemed stressed about everything. Cant imagine they had the same experience I did.

Thanks appreciate the advice will defitnely take all that into account. Was also wondering a couple of other things maybe you can answer. When do you actually take the cdl road test for your cdl before you go out with the trainer or after you get back. Also my recruiter first told me it was a 100 dollars for licensing fees then said 60 so not sure which one it is and when do you need to have the money for that week one or two? how do you get lunch and dinner and stuff since you don't have transportation.

Im not sure about slc whatever that means. You take the permit test once you get to Utah. It only cost 40$ here and the extra 20$ is in case you need to retake the test.

you will have your cdl before you go out with your trainer

hey all, some know me from the follow me through central truck school thread started by bigrigg. well, im done with training, took 2 trainers. anyone want to know the story, pm me and i will share it. needless to say, i didnt hold the truth back from training department when they got me my second trainer. ive got my fiancee with him now, and we should be together in about 3 more weeks.
overall the company has been wonderful and has been patient with me as i have been picking up shortfalls from the first trainer. im sitting in pasadena, tx at nestle waiting to get loaded, and im probably going to spend the night here at nestle because i have 6:37 left on my 14, and there are like 4-5 trucks waiting to get loaded and one loader working 3 docks. good thing the load isnt due in colorado till monday.
anyways, if any potential students want to ask me any questions, pm me for my number and you can call me and ill answer anything.
