I have had good luck with them. You can tell the difference between having them on and not having them on.

Never even knew balancing truck tires was a thing. Only ever just tossed the new rubber on the rim, inflate and install.

    You’ll hate me, But -

    All 5 axles.

But I also have trailer and drives balanced - container haulers around the world are suffering aneurisms as I type . . .

I run them on all three axles, even tire wear and a smoother ride considering all the hell the tires and wheels take every week.

I have them on 3 axles. 350k mi on a set of drives still had 25% tread when I replaced them. Steers were getting 130k but had kingpin issues.

    PE_T and DougA Thank this.

Another yes vote, well worth the money. In my experience,if you use a premium tire like a Michelin, very little added balance weight is necessary. But with more and more tires coming in from far offshore, you better have a balance system,or premature wear will show up. And once you develop a uneven wear pattern, there is no correcting it. Centramatics worked great for me,just simple balance physics, not snake oil. If you're in this business for the long run, make the one time investment and you're set.

I vote no. I've got a set for 5 axles sitting in the corner of my shop. Dumping ceramic beads inside the tires when you mount them is a much better way to balance.
