I'm loving this company that Curtis now drives for.
He called them the other day, and told them he had to make a stop, to take me to the doctor. NO PROBLEM!
And, when we got to "the yard" yesterday, folks went out of their way to ask me how I was feeling, and showed they really care, not only about one of their drivers, but his family, too!!
WOW!! How awesome!! Lovin' the family feel at CEI, Neosho, MO

Anybody have any new information on CEI ? I talked to the recruiter at Dallas truck show and it all sounds good but I would like some feedback from some drivers there.

The staff is friendly. Be prepared to sit a lot. Nothing happens fast with this company. They have nice equipment with APU's and fridges as long as you can keep it out of the shop. Pay is inconsistent from week to week but they will get you paid for all your miles, eventually. Very laid back environment and it does have that family feel if you're in to that sort of thing. I'm not... Get me miles, get me paid and get me home is my attitude.

Sounds like pretty conflicting reports? Anyone else care to weigh in? Or folks who've been around CEI a while now — are you getting paid and getting home on time?
The recruiter says home time is pretty flexible. Just tell dispatch when I want to run or be home in NW AR, and they'll make it happen. Is that so?free spirited1 Thanks this. -

I told them I was ready to drive right away. I had 2.5 years of clean driving under my belt at that time, and had previously been a trainer. I'd only been off work a few months. But they just stopped answering my calls without explanation after that. I don't know why they changed their tune so suddenly, and the explanation they gave me really didn't line up with the evidence. It's possible they looked me up on Facebook, found out I'm queer, and took issue with it, but that is purely speculation. I just cannot think of any good reason they'd suddenly turn down a willing and able driver with a clean record like they did.
In any case, I'm working at a great company now. Making $400-500+/day. Out 5 days a week, and home 2 to 2.5 days every week. 25 paid days off my first year, and more each year after that. Insurance started day 1. Great environment and people. Clear expectations. What they tell you is what you get. Equipment is clean and fit as a fiddle. I'm looking forward to the part time schedules that'll be available to me soon. I'm glad things worked out the way they did, in the long run. You're welcome to message my inbox if you want to know more about it.
