CFI Driver's What's Your 20? (2017 edition)

Thanks lol it's kinda overwhelming they throw alot of info at you really quick but we'll get it down. There hasn't been anything that has been to much to handle. But this pre-trip..haha I refuse to let it get the better of me!

 

Somebody save me... I'm back in the Waco triangle...

I heard a hissing noise under the dash this morning... Started watching my pressure gauges... Never went up or down and it was locked in at about a hundred and ten phones.

I'm on back roads in fog no shoulder...
I open my window and don't hear any air leaks from the outside.

Finally get to a little town and I pull off the side of the road soon as I open my door I can hear the air rushing... Glad hand fell off right? Wrong!

The bracket where the glad hands and the electric pigtail plugs in to the Tractor had come loose and was laying on the drive shaft. The drive shaft ended up wearing a hole in the red Airline.

4 hours later I'm up and running... I guess the good news is that it was Daylight by then so driving in the fog wasn't as bad.

I ended up using my whole 14 clock to drive around trip from Waco to Longview and back to Waco a total of 320 miles.

Next load goes from Waco to down near San Antone and a pre plan from San Antonio to El Paso.

That oughta keep me on I-10 where I belong for a couple more days!!!

 

Cerb, just so you know, I once blew a tire and it cut an airbag. When I released the trailer break, it bled off some air pressure... when t compressor kicked on, the pressure stabilized, but wouldn't increase. That's what happened today, pressure was stable until I slowed down...so I knew I had a leak somewhere.

Pressure should cycle up and down when everything is working.

 

Came back out last Thursday... At Champlain ANY on I-87 .. US duty free is now $13.20 no problems crossing ...didn't even as if a had anything to declare... 36 hours in Ontario and Quebec was enough for me! Deadheaded 345 miles to Braintree MA ...then Cincinnati for Monday , Chattanooga for Tuesday....

 

So I had a trip down memory lane last week with Canada ...then Tuesday I did headed to Kellogg's on Hunter Road in Atlanta Georgia...
What happened with CFI & Kellogg's? Only saw three CFI trailers... Lots of Heartland , Crete ,and some Swift ....
Live loaded 14:15 - 1700..... Not too bad since Google reviews were really bad with 5+ hours load times ...

Delivered in Auburndale.../Lakeland FL 10 am Wednesday..then Deadheaded Home til Monday .. hopefully Tuesday !

 

They keep just enough trailers at Hunter Road so that I got a load going home when I need one...

 

Man you are S-I-C-K ...lol

I will say this ... The DD coffee brewed in some Wilco / now Pilots in the 6 gallon pots taste burnt or something...
Best
to use the DD app ( going to Dunkin Donuts stores ) and get deals and points for free drinks ..takes awhile to add up but better than a kick in your ### ...

Talking about app's and saving done $$$ McDonald's ( I know puke!) Give you a free mCcafe after every fifth coffee .. along with some other deals that usually change state to state by region

 

Sorry. Can’t stand that dirty sock water they pass off as coffee.

 

They are opening a DD in Birch Run. I can't wait to stop in and get a big ole cup of that dirty sock water!
