CFI Driver's What's Your 20? (2017 edition)

Fishing you say? Take me! Haha save me from this 10hr bus ride back to Amarillo.

Wife and I completed orientation today, all the student drivers and some of the experienced drivers are gonna be waiting on finishers (I guess there is a shortage idk) but they are sending like 9 out of 14 of my orientation home for all of us to wait for trainers. But that's ok I miss my pooch and don't mind spending more time with the wife before we're separated for 3 wks to a month lol.

Still really excited for the next step! However, not looking for taking this long bus ride home haha can't complain though, we got 10hrs a few others from orientation have a long 34hr ride back to Florida.

worry not sir Rooster........filet and "release" is the rule for the day. also me and the wife (and our little puppy dog) will have a nice ####tail and enjoy the campfire to unwind before another 4 weeks of making money for uncle sam and, of course, cfi.

 

Read this a couple of times. Not sure what you mean "starter company". It's not CR England CRST or Swift. Not really the company vibe. Out of necessity CFI hires first time drivers but the success rate is not as good as they had hoped. Not a hand holding company once you hit the road. Your first year driving will be enlightening to say the least.

 

I understand it may not be a “stereotypical” starter company but it does hire drivers fresh out of school so in a sense it is a starter company. I’m sure I will be alright and I’m gonna struggle just as much as anyone does their first year on the road if not more. As the saying goes. “If you are positive, you'll see opportunities instead of obstacles.”

 

Aside from that though I’ve been making a list of clothes and I hope it’ll
Be enough.

3 pairs of jeans
1 pair of long khaki’s
2 khaki shorts
1 gym short
1pj
1winter coat
2hoodies
1thermal sweater
1 swim shorts
10 shirts.
10 pairs of boxers
And 10 pairs of socks.

I plan to buy a new pillow and blanket and sleeping bag at a Walmart or something in Missouri since I only have this small luggage bag and a book bag I’m taking, Xbox on the side for camparison.. that small bag inside of it is all my toiletries. Will probably bring my electronics and other small toiletries in my bookbag.

Edit* almost forgot to add flip flops and my boots, gloves and beanies.
