Hm maybe next time I’m at the petro in Alabama (“the biggest one in the south”) I forget what interstate... but it’s off exit 299 of whichever. Maybe I’ll buy a proper freezer then. The Coleman is actually freezing foods for me though and making my water bottles half frozen if I leave it running over night...

 

the one bad thing about the della is that it runs the battery down. my low voltage disconnect kicks in after about 5 hours of the truck being shut off and i have to start the truck or apu. but having fresh food available 24/7 and not having to get dressed to eat is worth it

 

I’m more seeing it as an option to incorporate less salty food being that frozen foods don’t need nearly as much salt than canned foods to stay fresh

 

It is frustrating though that I can’t store like hard boiled eggs in it because they literally freeze so fast and a watery Icy hard boiled egg is not good

 

i stopped at a market truckstop out in west texas and asked the meat guy if he would break up the packages into smaller ones for me. he did. i got 4 separate hamburger patties, 2 thin steaks, some chicken breasts separated so i can freeze and cook when needed.

 

Keep anything that you don’t want frozen as far away from the fan as possible.

 

80 wilcott iowa truck sells truck fridges and the install them for free I think I was told today. Met a driver name jim hes been driving since last November loving the company but hating the truck having cruise control issues so I stopped on hwy 51 at the petro on my way back from la salle /peru area in Illinois. This driver was awesome helped another driver get a shower thought wow that's awesome of this driver. We talked like 20 mins or so then I had to get down the road poor guy had a 10 hr window to waste before he could drop and hook 20 miles away dang that has to suck.

 

I was in petro I see a cfi leave female driver I think didn't get a chance to talk to her then I saw jim pull up so I talked to him then as im leaving I see a cfi truck parking no trailer then get down the road goin back to Wisconsin I see more cfi trucks and one pulling michaels trailer dang this must be a meeting point lol Illinois down pass Rockford on hwy 51 petro road ranger wendys loves and a Walmart close by dang must be a cfi yard close by thinking to myself lol

 

We had so many trucks in your neighborh9d, they had a safety meeting this morning!
