CFI Driver's What's Your 20? (2017 edition)

Yeah I get paranoid about parking. And I’m tired of reserving spots and then showing up and seeing open spots. Granted most of the time it’s saved me in a pinch. But it seems that when I do reimbursements they don’t always go through. It’s kind of frustrating.

 

So I got my truck yesterday. And was heading out this morning. Memphis dispatch hooked me
Up and have me a teams load instead to salt lake since I only got 800 miles thanks to my truck breakdown. 30 minutes down the road...engine light comes on and engine derate message again....

 

Just drive it until it dies. I once drove a 680 with the engine shutdown message on the dash for over 2 hrs. Made it back to the yard.

 

I just want out of Jopmo I feel like I'm in prison. Been here since Tuesday for a safety thing and so my wife could do drug testing so she can drive again. And here we are. All these dispatchses keep falling through. My first load to Oklahoma got canceled cuz they only accept deliveries monday-thursday 7a-5pm. It was 345pm when they dispatched me. So they pull me off that. Got assigned a relay coming from Laredo going north. And their truck broke down...so now I'm waiting on a relay going to calexico..was told by dispatch to be up bright and early because it'd be here 0630-0730 and so I go in at 0700, to be told they are still 300 miles out and aren't set to be here until 4:45pm...SOS! Send help! I'm going crazy in Jopmo?!

 

Might be time for a call to truck assignment.

 

By this time next week, you'll be begging for a break....hang in there.

 

By this time next week I'll be on my 6 days off which is why I'm trying to run hard beforehand lol

 

What size TV fits in the cabinet of the Kenwoths?

 

Are you implying I might be able to shimmy my way into an early upgrade? I’m only at 355k miles

 

Talk to your manager. There is a policy to change trucks if you've had x amount of downtime. Doesn't mean you will get a new truck, just a different one.
