CFI Driver's What's Your 20? (2017 edition)

Heading to Greensburg IN tomorrow afternoon.

 

You don't need no stinkin home time if you got the whole gang with you...

 

I-64 rest area just east of Louisville.

Picking up in Louisville in the morning delivering on Saturday morning in Sterling Illinois... I see a Lowe's load in my future.

 

So, within the sound of my voice, who usually stays out and works Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Historically I was on the road on Thanksgiving and usually home for 12 to 14 days at Christmas... Giving a change of my family status I'm thinking about staying out this year... Wondering if it's brutal or pretty easy and worth the money...

 

My day fell apart. Two hours at the shipper. Stuck in traffic on I94 in MI. Sat on the side of I275 broke down for three hours only to find out road service couldn't repair it. Now at a Ryder shop getting my bad brake chamber replaced. Oh yeah forgot to mention the Hazmat load I am hauling. Fun times.

 

Dang at least it wasn't cold rain or snowing

 

That's for sure. I wasn't on the side of the road for 15 minutes before I nearly got hit by a car hauler.

 

He was eating a seven course meal with one hand and texting with the other...

 

I had to replace a brake chamber too. Picked up in Jopmo, did pretrip..all good...parked by dispatch to fill up my water jugs and trailer seized up...low pressure, air leaking so fast I couldn't get to the trailer shop...lol,they came to me!!!

 

Mine is on the truck. When I pulled over, I had a brake smoking. Not good, especially with class 3 Hazmat.
